-------------------------------------------

Brethren,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the July Group for the time and effort in preparing the food for our festive board. Most noticeable was the helping hand extended by the ladies, though they were in their "after 5" outfit, in dishing out the food and doing the chores in the kitchen. Ladies, on behalf of the brethren of LJR, I thank you all for that effort.

Bros M Santos and M Placido, thank you for the nice music and preparing the hall. Kuya Vince, kudos for your effort in collecting the money for the dinner and distributing the tickets.

To the brethren who participated in the degree work, you have done a wonderful contributions to the solemnity of the ceremony. I trust that the other brethren will be motivated and encouraged to put an effort and participate in our future degree works.

If I missed anyone, please accept my apology, it was because I was overwhelmed by another successful night.

Please take notice of the composition of the next group.

SEPTEMBER GROUP:

1. BRO ILAYA

2. RW BRO R PORRAS

Lodge Jose Rizal is fast becoming a lodge of choice in the jurisdiction and last Saturday's meeting gave ample proof of this.

The ritual work, the sumptuous festive board, the fellowship and camaraderie, and above all, the ladies who grace the south with their presence are a credit to you, and should encourage you to start thinking about working towards lodge of excellence.

My congratulations to all of you for providing us with an excellent evening.

Brethren,

After a hectic schedule at Vegas we are back in Los Angeles to rest a few days. We were able to visit some relatives at San Diego. We have the opportunity to cross the border at Mexico and visited TiJuana, Rosarito and Ensenada.

We are hoping to be back in Sydney by next week.

I would like to thank our members for your efforts and dedication to make LJR a lodge we could be proud of. More power to our Lodge.

Together brethren,

Manny Maniago
